Literature Resource Center  Connect to Literature Resource Center
Also known as: LRC
Access: Internet-delivered database. There are three ways to connect:
  1. from a public computer in the University of Delaware Library
  2. from a University of Delaware campus connection in your dorm, lab, or office
  3. from an off-campus connection (University of Delaware ID required)

A complete literature reference database designed for undergraduate students, LRC combines biographical, bibliographical, and contextual information to provide information on authors and their works (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, history, and journalism). Information from reference sets is augmented with full-text, excerpted, and commissioned critical material, work overviews, links to author-related Web sites, scholarly journal articles and interviews, illuminating a work, theme, genre, oeuvre, or era. LRC also includes Merriam-Webster's Encyclopedia of Literature.

Literature Resource Center features the complete text of Contemporary Authors and Dictionary of Literary Biography. There is select criticism from Contemporary Literary Criticism and selections from more than 30 other Gale literary reference sets, including works such as Poetry Criticism, Drama Criticism, Nineteenth-Century Literary Criticism, Novels for Students, Literature and Its Times, and others.
