Also known as: Reference E-Books (Credo Reference)
Access: Internet-delivered database. There are three ways to connect:
   1. from a public computer in the University of Delaware Library
   2. from a University of Delaware campus connection in your dorm, lab, or office
   3. from an off-campus connection (University of Delaware ID required)
Description:

Credo Reference is an online collection of encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other ready-reference books covering a range of topics, such as art, business, literature, and science. With a network of cross-references that provide an easy-to-follow trail to related information contained anywhere in Credo Reference, it provides trustworthy answers—and new connections—in context. There are millions of entries, including thousands of images and audio pronunciation files.

Notable features of Credo Reference are:

  • rich reference content: find text, images and sound files, build data tables and more
  • millions of cross-reference links that connect text, images, and sound files in unique and surprising ways
  • the concept map tool, which provides a complete overview of a topic
  • citations can be formatted in APA, MLA, or Chicago Manual of Style formats
