Description:

GPO Access is a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). It provides free public access to electronic information available from the Federal Government. It encompasses nearly 3,000 databases and covers all three branches of the government.

GPO Access collections:

  • Budget of the United States Government (earlier years)
  • Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
  • Congressional Rules and Procedures
  • Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (e-CFR)
  • House Journal (1991-1999)
  • Numerical Lists of Documents and Reports & Schedule of Serial Set Volumes
  • Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States
  • State of the Union Addresses
  • Supreme Court Decisions (1937-1975)
  • Supreme Court Decisions (1992-2000)
Coverage: Varies. Many publications begin with 1995 (104th Congress). GPO Access Online Resources provides more details.
Notes: The information on GPO Access is in the process of being migrated to GPO’s FDsys (Federal Digital System). The migration is occurring collection by collection. The information on GPO Access will remain current and continue to be available until migration is complete.
