iPOLL  Connect to iPOLL
Access: Internet-delivered database. There are three ways to connect:
   1. from a public computer in the University of Delaware Library
   2. from a University of Delaware campus connection in your dorm, lab, or office
   3. from an off-campus connection (University of Delaware ID required)
Description: Public opinion data from The Roper Center, the largest archives of public opinion information. iPOLL is a comprehensive database of 500,000 questions and answers asked in the US since 1935. Most of the major survey research organizations that have done work in the areas of social and political research in the United States are represented in iPOLL. Among them are The Gallup Organization, The Roper Organization, Louis Harris and Associates, the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, USA Today, The Washington Post, and the Associated Press.

Notes: The University of Delaware Library’s membership in the Roper Center includes on-demand access to the full datasets required to conduct bivariate and multivariate analyses on archived surveys using RoperExpress. Current University of Delaware faculty, students, and staff have unlimited access to those datasets in the Roper Center collection that are in ASCII or SPSS portable formats. Simply do a search for datasets and the studies accessible for immediate download in RoperExpress are marked with an icon RoperExpress icon.
