Access: Internet-delivered database. There are three ways to connect:
   1. from a public computer in the University of Delaware Library
   2. from a University of Delaware campus connection in your dorm, lab, or office
   3. from an off-campus connection (University of Delaware ID required)
Description: Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts assists both generalists and specialists in keeping abreast of cutting-edge developments in disciplines converned with the nature and use of language. It covers all aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. Complete coverage is also given to various fields of linguistics, including descriptive, historical, comparative, theoretical, and geographical linguistics.

Links: Depending upon the Cambridge Scientific Abstracts database, there might be links to full-text electronic journal articles from the American Meteorological Society, BioOne, HighWire Press, IngentaConnect, Ingenta Select, JSTOR, National Sea Grant Library, Nature Publishing Group, Project MUSE, PsycARTICLES, Sage Publications, ScienceDirect, Springer LINK, or Synergy. If full text is available, there will be a clickable “Full-Text” link at the top of a citation. Additional Get It! links are provided by clicking on the “Get It!” button.
Alerts: Click on “Alerts” in the “Search Tools” area to set up a personal profile. You can click on “Alerts” above a result set to save it. A saved “Alert” will be used to automatically search your selected databases for new content every week.
Notes: Scholar profile information can be accessed from search results lists by 1) clicking on the ScholarIcon (  ) next to names of authors within short results and on full record view or 2) clicking on the ScholarTab.
Output Formats: Click on “Save/Print/Email Records.” Available as an option from the Save/Print/Email screen, QuikBib allows you to generate a bibliography from your search results in any of eight popular bibliographic styles. Final output is available as HTML, Text, RTF, and MS Word.

Software Requirements: Best viewed with Netscape 6.0 or newer or Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer.
