Access: Freely available Internet database
Description: Search engine for scientific information. Scirus provides access not only to journal content but also scientists’ homepages, courseware, pre-print server material, patents, and institutional repository and website information.

There is no charge for using Scirus. Anyone can search across over 250 million science-related pages from the Web for free. In addition, Scirus shows search results from journal sources and preferred web sources (such as patent offices and institutional repositories). Only current University of Delaware students, faculty and staff may access some of the journal information.

Journals: Journal content is drawn from the American Physical Society, BioMed Central, Crystallography Journals Online, Hindawi Publishing Corporation, IOP Publishing, Maney Publishing, MEDLINE / PubMed, Nature Publishing Group, Project Euclid, Pubmed Central, Royal Society Publishing, SAGE Publications, ScienceDirect, Scitation, Society for Ind. & App. Mathematics, and Wiley-Blackwell.

Notes:

Remote users should always access Scirus through the link at the Library’s website in order to be properly authenticated for accessing the content linked to from Scirus. After accessing Scirus, enable Library Partner Links, as above.
