Users with an Internet connection can reach the University of Delaware Library home page at http://www.lib.udel.edu. This page provides access to resources that can be accessed from a distance including online databases, electronic journals, electronic reserves, and DELCAT Discovery, the Library’s online catalog.
The Library subscribes to more than 230 general and specialized databases and thousands of electronic journals that you can access from campus or home with the proper connection. To access library databases and electronic journals from home, start on the Library home page, and click the link at the top of the page for databases or the link to electronic journals. Then click the title of the database or the electronic journal that you would like to access. At that point you will be prompted to enter your UDelNet ID and Password, which are the same as your UD e-mail user name and password. After you enter your UDelNet ID and Password, you will be connected to resource that you selected.
To access electronic library course reserve material from off-campus, click the link to reserves on the Library home page. Then click the proxy link located on the Course Reserves page, and enter your UDelNet ID and Password. Course reserve material can be searched by course number, instructor name, or the title of the reserve item.
