University of Delaware Computing Network Access
UD students, faculty and staff may obtain a UdelNet
ID and password at
no charge. Distance education students can also contact UD
Online for
assistance. The UD computing account provides access to e-mail
and electronic library resources. These resources include electronic
newspapers and journals as well as databases that contain full-text
articles, statistics, reports, and more.
Off-campus access to the University of Delaware Library's electronic
resources is available only to University of Delaware users, including
UD distance learning students, due to electronic license restrictions. To
access the University of Delaware Library's electronic resources off
campus, users must authenticate through UD's web proxy server. The University
of Delaware Web Proxy Server instructions are available at http://www.udel.edu/topics/connect/webproxy/index.html.
Library Computing Site
The UD Morris Library Computing Site is located in the Student
Multimedia Design Center, and it is open to individuals with ID
cards from the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, and
Delaware Technical & Community
College.
