Research Need

The first step in any research project is to determine what you wish to research. Identifying a good, researchable, manageable topic at the beginning will save you time and frustration.

Next, get interested! You will be spending a lot of time with your research topic, so take the time to think of a topic that interests you.

If your class is using the Allyn & Bacon Guide to Writing, see Chapter 2, Concept 2: Good writers pose questions about their subject matter for more information about selecting a research topic of interest.
