The University of Delaware Library is pleased to announce that Bonnie Maxwell will speak at the Scholar in the Library Series of the University of Delaware Library Assembly of Professional Staff (UDLAPS) on Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Noon in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room, Morris Library.

Bonnie Maxwell will present an overview of her University of Delaware master's thesis “Hepburn Redux: Rethinking the Myth,” which challenges many common perceptions people have about the famous actress, and will discuss the extensive research she has undertaken to complete this remarkable work.

Bonnie Maxwell is a recent graduate from the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) Program.  Ms. Maxwell has been featured in UDaily and The News Journal, has facilitated a film retrospective in Rehoboth, Delaware, and lent her expertise to an HGTV program featuring Hepburn’s girlhood home. Katharine Hepburn’s films include such titles as The Philadelphia Story, The African Queen, and On Golden Pond.

The Scholar in the Library Series is sponsored by the Professional Development Committee of the University of Delaware Library Assembly of Professional Staff (UDLAPS). The program with light refreshments is open to the public.
