Asher Jackson, who holds the Pauline A. Young Librarian Residency in the University of Delaware Library, has been selected as a 2008 Spectrum Doctoral Fellow by the American Library Association which is supported by an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) $1 million grant.
The Spectrum Doctoral Fellowship program was designed to recruit and provide full tuition support and stipends to ten full-time Library and Information Science doctoral students for four years of study. The Fellowship program’s emphasis is on leadership.
Upon completion of his two-year Pauline A. Young Residency at the University of Delaware Library in August 2008, Asher Jackson will begin a position at Syracuse University in the fall of 2008.
