The University of Delaware Library is pleased to announce that, in response to numerous requests of students and faculty, additional wireless and electrical access has been installed on the second and third floors on the east side (the fountain side) of the Morris Library. These areas include a large number of individual study carrels.
Four wireless access points have been installed on each floor as well as thirty-six quad electrical outlets spaced six feet apart which will greatly facilitate the usage of laptop computers in these areas. Funding for this work was provided by the Provost during 2007/2008, and the work was completed during 2008/2009 under the supervision of Gregg Silvis, Assistant Director for Library Computing Systems, University of Delaware Library.
“The Library hopes that this increased wireless capability provides an even greater level of information access for the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Delaware,” commented Susan Brynteson, Vice Provost and May Morris Director of Libraries.
