The Morris Library at the University of Delaware will be open from Noon-10:00 p.m. on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 18, 2010, although University offices are closed and classes are suspended. At the Morris Library, not all service desks will be open, some service desks may have reduced hours and Special Collections will be closed.
“Experience shows that the Morris Library is still heavily used on Martin Luther King Day, even though no classes are given,” Susan Brynteson, Vice Provost and May Morris Director of Libraries, said. “The University of Delaware Library is trying to meet the needs of library users.”
The electronic library of the University of Delaware Library, which is available 24/7 at [www.udel.edu/library], provides access for faculty, students, and staff of the University of Delaware to a rich array of online library resources including DELCAT, WorldCat Local, databases, full-text information, electronic journals and newspapers, Subject Guides to the Internet, the Institutional Repository, and much more.
The agriculture, chemistry, marine studies and physics libraries will be closed.
