Library Offers iMovie '09 Multimedia Workshops


    The University of Delaware Library will present nine workshops during the 2010 Spring Semester focused on iMovie ‘09, a multimedia program available at the Student Multimedia Design Center.  Three levels of workshops are offered: basic, intermediate, and advanced.

    iMovie '09 Basic:  Building on a history of great video editing tools, Apple’s latest version of iMovie provides more flexibility for working with themes, adding titles, transitions, and effects to movies with its updated drag-and-drop editor.  This hands-on workshop will explore iMovie ‘09’s intuitive interface, will teach how to manage and save a project, and will cover all of the basics of non-linear video editing.

    iMovie’09 Intermediate:  This hands-on workshop will focus on the intermediate level options in Apple’s feature rich video editor, iMovie ’09.  Workshop participants will learn how to integrate audio into a project, how to create voiceovers, how to work with the precision editor and clip trimmer, how to make video and audio adjustments, and how to create a movie from photos.

    iMovie’09 Advanced:  While Apple’s iMovie ’09 is considered a first-step editor, its advanced features put this program in a class above the competition.  This hands-on workshop will teach participants how to add keywords and markers, how to stabilize video, how to integrate
picture-in-picture, and how to work with green-screen effects.
