UD Library/Foundation Center Presentation on "Proposal Writing Basics"
The University of Delaware Library announces a noontime brown-bag presentation entitled "Proposal Writing Basics" by Anita H. Plotinsky, Director of the Foundation Center - Washington, DC office. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., in the Class of 1941 Lecture Room in Morris Library, University of Delaware, Newark.
The lecture is open to the public and brown-bag lunches are welcome. Light refreshments will be available. Pre-registration is encouraged. To register, please call Carolyn Grant, Reference Department, at 831-2432 or email lib-workshops@udel.edu.
The presentation will focus on the basics of writing a proposal and will provide an introductory overview of the process for new proposal writers who represent nonprofit organizations. It will cover:
The University of Delaware Library
maintains a Foundation Center Cooperating Collection that is located in
the Reference Department of the Morris Library. The Collection is one of
more than 200 similar reference collections affiliated with the Foundation
Center whose central office is located in New York City. It is a specialized
collection of research materials designed to aid organizations or institutions
in locating potential sources of funding, in particular, grants from private
