Library
The University of Delaware Library is comprised of the Morris Library where the main collection is housed, and four branch libraries including Agriculture, Chemistry, Marine Studies, and Physics. The Library has 155 full-time staff. The collections include over 2.8 million volumes, a rapidly expanding collection of networked electronic resources and material in other information formats. It is a member of the Association of Research Libraries, the Center for Research Libraries, the Chesapeake Information and Research Library Alliance (CIRLA), North East Regional Library Consortium (NERL), and LYRASIS. The Library collections parallel the University's academic programs and support all disciplines. A depository library for U.S. government publications and patents, the Library also has excellent Special Collections. The University of Delaware has received wide acclaim for the excellence of its information network. The Library is strongly committed to providing access to electronic services and resources to the University and scholarly community, offering online access to citations and abstracts, maps and the universe of internet resources.
