| Primal Pictures is now available. It features three-dimensional animations that illustrate function, biomechanics, and surgical procedures. It includes clinical videos, textual descriptions, and interactive learning modules covering basic human anatomy. |
| Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is now available. JCR presents quantifiable statistical data that provides a systematic, objective way to evaluate the world’s leading journals and their impact and influence in the global research community. |
Biological Abstracts (BIOSIS) ![]()
This database contains citations and abstracts to articles appearing in approximately 9,000 periodicals dealing with life science. It covers literature from 1990-present and is updated quarterly.
Biological Sciences Set ![]()
Biological Sciences is an interdisciplinary database of subfiles which offer abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science. Dates of coverage vary from subfile to subfile; they range from 1978 to date to 1993 to date. Some articles may be available in full text. In your results set, you will see a "Locate Document" link; click on this link for the "Go Get It - Document Acquisition Feature." If full text is available, there will be clickable link such as "Retrieve Electronic Full Text via ..."; if full text is not available, there will be a message: "This document is not available via a direct link from this database."
Science Citation Index - Expanded (Web of Science/ ISI Citation Databases) ![]()
The Web of Science interface provides online access to the Institute for Scientific Information Citation Databases. These databases are:
Science Citation Index Expanded (1900- )
Social Sciences Citation Index (1956- )
Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975- )
AGRICOLA ![]()
This database covers agricultural literature from 1970 to the presentwhen accessed at the Agriculture Library; the coverage elsewhere is 1984 to the present. It contains citations to agricultural literature (primarily journal articles) acquired by the National Agricultural Library. It
includes books, book chapters, microforms, media, as well as journal articles. It provides coverage of
agriculture, with particular strength in federal and state publications.
AGRICOLA is enhanced with GetIt! links. The National Agricultural Library’s Web
Gateway to AGRICOLA, free to all, is an alternative method to access
the database.
Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) ![]()
The dates of coverage are 1978 to the present. ASFA provides citations and abstracts of the world's literature dealing with the science, technology, and management of marine, freshwater, and brackish water environments and organisms, as well as links to full-text electronic journals from BioOne, Catchword, HighWire Press, ScienceDirect, and Springer LINK.
Biological and Agricultural Index Plus ![]()
The coverage runs from 1983 to the present. The database includes citations to articles in biology, agriculture, and related sciences published
in some 240 periodicals, ranging from scientific journals to popular publications.
BioOne
In spite of the relatively short time coverage of 2000 to the present, BioOne is a full-text online aggregation of some 40 high-impact, peer-reviewed bioscience research journals, covering the biological, ecological, and environmental sciences. The titles are published by scientific societies and other nonprofit organizations, and most have, until now, been available only in print.
CAB Abstracts ![]()
From 1990 to the present, this is a database of research on agriculture in the broadest sense. It includes agronomy, biotechnology, crop protection, dairy science, economics, environmental degradation and remediation, forestry, genetics, herbicides, irrigation, leisure, recreation and tourism, microbiology, nutrition, parasitology, rural development, veterinary medicine, and much more. Journals, monographs, conference reports, books, annual reports, and other sources from more than 100 countries are scanned regularly for inclusion, and approximately 150,000 new records are added per year. Nearly all the records include English-language abstracts. There are selected links to full-text material via
Get It! links.
Environmental Sciences & Pollution Management ![]()
This database provides access to the scholarly literature concerning environmental sciences and pollution management and contains links to full-text journal articles. The database contains a number of subfiles including Bacteriology Abstracts (Microbiology B),
Human Population & Natural Resource Management, and Industrial & Applied Microbiology Abstracts (Microbiology A).
Ei CompendexWeb
Covering 1970 - present, Compendex, one of the databases available in Engineering Village 2, is a comprehensive index to the engineering literature. It includes links to the full text of articles in some 400 Elsevier journals relating to engineering that are included in ScienceDirect; full text is available from approximately 1995 to date. Compendex covers over 5,000 engineering journals, conferences, and reports. All areas of engineering are represented. Approximately 22% of the database is conference literature, and 90% of the source documents are in English. About half the citations (from 2,000 journals and conferences) include abstracts and indexing. Links to full text (if available) appear under "Full Text Options" after records are retrieved.
PubMed ![]()
PubMed covers 1966-present. PubMed is the National Library of Medicine’s search service to access the 9 million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to participating online journals), and other related databases. PubMed also provides access to the molecular biology databases included in NCBI's Entrez retrieval system.
TOXNET
TOXNET is a cluster of databases with differing time coverage from the National Library of Medicine. The databases included in TOXNET cover toxicology, hazardous chemical, and related areas.
