Energy Information Administration
This is the site for official energy statistics from the U.S. Government. Locate information on petroleum, coal, electricity, natural gas, nuclear, and renewable and alternatice energy. The site also contains information by geography as well as forecasts and analyses, the environment, and the housing and buildings industry.
White House Energy Page
The White House web site for energy policy and information. This site includes news releases and speeches, press briefings and executive orders, links to international energy issues, and information on appointments and nominations.
Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee
Since its creation, the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and its predecessors have considered, reported, and overseen some of the most important legislation ever enacted by the United States Congress. This far-reaching legislative activity can be described in the following major areas: energy resources and development, including regulation, conservation, strategic petroleum reserves and appliance standards; nuclear energy; Indian affairs; public lands and their renewable resources; surface mining, Federal coal, oil, and gas, other mineral leasing; territories and insular possessions; and water resources.

Home Energy Saver
The Home Energy Saver is designed to help consumers identify the best ways to save energy in their homes, and find the resources to make the savings happen. The Home Energy Saver was the first Internet-based tool for calculating energy use in residential buildings. The project is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), as part of the national ENERGY STAR Program for improving energy efficiency in homes.
Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
Administwered by the U.S. Department of Energy, the EERE site contains information on government programs related to energy efficiency and renewable energy. Included are links on programs related to biomass, building technologies, geothermal technologies, hydrogen, fuel cells, and infrastructure technologies, industrial, solar, and vehicle technologies, as well as weather and hydropower.
Energy Savers
On this U.S. Government Web site you can find information to help you save energy in your home, business, vehicle, or industrial plant. The links on Energy Savers take you directly to resources available across Federal agencies for homeowners, contractors and builders, building managers, realtors, state agencies, drivers and fleet managers, and industry managers.
Energy Citations Database
The Energy Citations Database (ECD) provides free access to over 2.3 million science research citations from 1948 through the present, with continued growth through regular updates. There are over 150,000 electronic documents, primarily from 1994 forward, available via the database. Citations and documents are made publicly available by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

National Energy Technology Laboratory
The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), part of DOE's national laboratory system, is owned and operated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). NETL supports DOE's mission to advance the national, economic, and energy security of the United States. The only U.S. national laboratory devoted to fossil energy research, NETL implements a broad spectrum of energy and environmental research and development (R&D) programs that will return benefits for generations to come.
Delaware Energy Office
The home page of the Delaware Energy Office, a part of the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC). The Energy Office administers the State Energy Program in Delaware. This site provides many useful links to information on energy statistics, programs, and consumer data for the state of Delaware.
US Dept of Energy Delaware Information
The page for information on Delaware provided by the U.S. Department of Energy. Delaware is among the states leading the effort to implement technologies to help lower energy costs and improve energy efficiency. In particular, Delaware has been an active participant in the Nationwide effort to improve the energy efficiency of low income homes, and has also joined the growing number of states that manufacture and sell biodiesel fuel.
Delaware Public Service Commission
The Delaware Public Service Commission (PSC) works to ensure safe, reliable and reasonably priced cable, electric, natural gas, wastewater, water and telecommunications services for Delaware consumers. For those services that are moving toward competitive markets, the Commission makes rules to level the playing field between competing providers, and resolves disputes between these providers. The PSC also assists consumers in resolving disputes with their service providers.
Delaware Energy Statistics

Sustainable Energy Utility Task Force
The website of the State of Delaware's Sustainable Energy Utility Task Force. This legislative task force was created on July 1, 2006 to examine the feasibility of developing a Sustainable Energy Utility for the State of Delaware. The Sustainable Energy Utility is envisioned as a nonprofit entity that develops end-user markets for energy efficiency, customer-sited renewable energy, and affordable energy services for low-income families.

Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency
DSIRE is a comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility, and federal incentives that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. The DSIRE website provides a fast and convenient method for accessing information about renewable energy and energy efficiency incentives and regulatory policies administered by federal and state agencies, utilities, and local organizations.

United Nations Energy
UN-Energy, the interagency mechanism on energy, has addressed the importance of access to energy in achieving the Millennium Development Goals in its recent report entitled The Energy Challenge for Achieving the Millennium Development Goals. The report draws on the collective expertise of the entire United Nations system, including the World Bank, and argues that the lack of modern fuels and electricity in most developing countries entrenches poverty, constrains the delivery of social services, limits opportunities for women, and erodes environmental sustainability.
American Wind Energy Association
The mission of the American Wind Energy Association is to promote wind power growth through advocacy, communication, and education. Their web site contains news on relevant legislation, policy initiatives, a resource library and acareer center, and other information sources related to wind energy.
American Solar Energy Society
ASES is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the use of solar energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable technologies in the U.S. Founded in 1954, the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) is now supported by more than 10,000 members across the nation who work together to help create a sustainable energy economy. Combined with ASES' regional chapters in 36 states and as the U.S. section of the International Solar Energy Society we're part of a powerful, collaborative network - because the need for renewable energy is clear.
