Plays published in the English language in England from the year 1500 through 1800 and in the United States from 1714-1830. The collection includes manuscripts. The plays are arranged in separate chronological groups: 1516-1641 (Elizabethan, Shakespeare, Jacobean); 1642-1700 (Restoration Drama); 1701-1750 (Early Eighteenth Century); 1751-1800 (Late Eighteenth Century); and 1714-1830 (American). DELCAT records are available for many American titles.

Obtaining Microforms from Other Libraries

If a microform set is not held by the University of Delaware Library, it may be requested by using the online Interlibrary Loan Request Form to request the item. Many libraries lend microforms to other libraries, and interlibrary loan services are available to UD faculty, students, and staff.
