Finding Books
The collection of books on fashion designers is located on the lower level of the Library in the TTs. The history of fashion (costume) and clothing books are shelved on the third floor in the GTs. Books on textiles are often shelved in the TSs.
There are a number of books that provide biographical information on fashion designers in the Reference Room. The Thames and Hudson Dictionary of Fashion and Fashion Designers is available as a Reference e-book on the Web.

Searching for Journal and Magazine Articles
Journal and magazine articles are an important source of current information on your topic. Articles on a particular topic can be identified by using the Library's databases at http://www.lib.udel.edu/db/. Some databases provide the full text of the articles they index; some give only the citation you need to locate the print copy in the University of Delaware Library (author, title of article, journal title, date, and page numbers). If the database does not provide the full text of the article, click on the GET IT button (if available) or check DELCAT to see if the Library owns the journal that published the article.
Current issues will be shelved alphabetically in the Periodicals Room next to the Reference Room. Older issues are shelved by their call numbers in the book stacks on the second, third, and lower levels of the Library. Many journals are available in electronic format. Access the e-journals via their URLs in DELCAT or go to the Library's
list of e-journals at http://www.lib.udel.edu/db/ejrnls.html.
