There are many resources, both electronic and print, for the study of the United States Constitution. This guide presents selected resources relating to the Constitution and to Delaware's role in the ratification. Delaware was the first of the thirteen original colonies to ratify the Constitution, making it "the First State."
Delaware and the Ratification of the Constitution
Delaware ratified the Constitution on December 7, 1787. This date appears on the state flag. December 7th is known as "Delaware Day."
