The Library presently subscribes to no databases whose sole focus is the history of science and technology. However, many of the Library databases contain material of interest which touch on some aspects of the history of science and technology.
America: History and Life 
Bibliographic database covering the world’s scholarly literature in history (United States and Canada). It includes article abstracts and bibliographical citations of reviews and dissertations on the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistoric times to the present.
APS (American Periodical Series) Online
American journals and magazines from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. APS Online spans over 1,500 titles and 7 million pages of content.
Biological Abstracts (BIOSIS) 
For material on the history of the life sciences.
Chemical Abstracts (SciFinder Scholar)
Particularly for material on the history of chemistry.
Compendex 
Particularly for the history of engineering. Part of Engineering Village.
Early American Imprints, Series I: Evans, 1639-1800
Will eventually include digitized images of all American imprints of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Early English Books Online (EEBO)
Images of the original pages in more than 96,000 works published in Great Britain before 1700. Particularly useful for the history and philosophy of science.
Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO)
Digital images of every page of 150,000 books published in Great Britain and the colonies during the 18th century. The collection is an ongoing project based on The English Short Title Catalogue (ESTC), a machine-readable union list of the holdings of the British Library, as well as those from more than 1,500 university, private, and public libraries worldwide.

The Books Database (under construction) is a bibliography of monographs, material published in monographs, and collected essays pertaining to the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
