Government Databases
- USGS GNIS
The Geographic Names Information System produced by the United States Geological Survey
includes all of the named features from its very detailed 7.5-minute maps of the United States.
- GEOnet Names Server
The GEOnet Names Server (GNS) provides access to the National Imagery and Mapping Agency's
(NIMA) database of foreign geographic feature names.
Geographic Area of Coverage: Worldwide excluding the United States and Antarctica. For names
in the U.S. and Antarctica, use the USGS GNIS (above).

- Delaware DataMIL
The Delaware Data Mapping and Integration laboratory (DataMIL) is an interactive, online collaboratory to aid decision makers
at the federal, state, county, and local government levels. Through the Map Production Lab, users can search for locations;
create standard letter size maps; download images; extract data for specific areas; view historic aerial photography;
download current topographic maps for Delaware; and report data errors to the data stewards.
- American County Histories to 1900
Includes the complete text of late 19th century histories of cities and counties in Delaware.
- Catalog of U.S. Government Publications
Available to all users at no charge. This online catalog consists of bibliographic records created for the Monthly Catalog
of United States Government Publications since 1976. These records describe Government information products available
through the Federal Depository Library Program. Online documents and maps are available, as well as holdings information to
identify depository libraries that selected printed products.
- MarciveWeb DOCS
The Marcive version of the Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications produced
by the United States Government Printing Office includes references and links to many maps
and tools published by the federal government since 1976.
