Using information from the Internet can be very risky without consideration of some basic guidelines for evaluating the resources available. This site gives articles, checklists, etc. which enable the researcher to make judgments about the quality and reliability of the health information found in cyberspace.

This internet site is put up by Lou Caruana, Ph.D., MT (ASCP) and Distinguished Professor of Clinical Laboratory Sciences Emeritus of the College of Health Professions, Southwest Texas State University. He states, “I have the largest collection of links covering all aspects of [clinical laboratory science].”
Center for Medical Technology Policy
The Center for Medical Technology Policy (CMTP) is a private, non-profit organization that provides a neutral forum in which patients, clinicians, payers, manufacturers and researchers can work together to design and implement prospective, real world studies to inform health care decisions. The primary goal of CMTP is to improve the process for generating reliable and credible information about the real world risks, benefits and costs of promising new medical technologies.
