Databases for Middle Eastern Studies

There are presently no electronic databases whose sole focus is the Middle East. A number of electronic databases, however, may be useful for certain aspects relating to the Middle East.

Discipline-Specific Databases

There are numerous discipline-specific databases that can be consulted when researching Middle Eastern Studies topics. The following are the ones most frequently consulted, but researchers should also consult the Databases page to determine whether there are other discipline-specific databases suitable for their given research topic. For example, researchers pursuing topics related to health care in the Middle East could consult CINAHL Plus with Full Text, the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature.
