The Mental Measurements Yearbooks and cumulations are part of an information system on published tests. The "center-pieces" of the system are the sixteen encyclopedic MMYs themselves, which provide price, publisher, level and other factual information about the tests; entire or excerpted test reviews; references; and references to articles which have employed or commented on the tests. The MMY monographs (Personality, Intelligence, Reading) are derived from the MMYs. Tests in Print VI serves as a master index to all in-print tests and out-of-print tests (cumulative back to TIP V). There is an electronic version of the Mental Measurements Yearbooks on the Library Databases list.
There are three indexes providing access to individual test entries in the Mental Measurements Yearbook. The Index to Test Titles lists all tests in this edition. Citations are to test entries, where an (N) after test number indicates the test is new, and an (R) indicates a revised test. There is an Index to Acronyms. Lastly, there is a Classified Subject Index. Other indexes are Publishers Directory and Index, Index of Names, and Score Index.
To examine actual psychological tests, contact the Education Resource Center. Their collection of more that 500 educational and psychological tests is available for inspection for research purposes or class assignments with faculty permission. A partial list of these tests is kept at the Reference Desk in the Morris Library.
