Getting Started
- Physical Education Index
An index to the literature of physical education, with links to full text. Records are indexed and classified from peer-reviewed journals, report literature, conference proceedings, trade magazines, patents, articles from the popular press, and many other publications. Abstracts feature a wide variety of content, ranging from physical education curricula, to sports medicine, to dane. Other coverage includes sport law, kinesiology, motor learning, recreation, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and marketing, coaching and training, and sport sociology/psychology. Health education and physical therapy are also covered. The years of ceverage of the Physical Education Index are 1970 to the present. - Health Reference Center-Academic / Health and Wellness Resource Center
These databases provide access to medical, health, and wellness information. Besides including the Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine, they also include selected full-text magazines, journals, and pamphlets from a variety of authoritative medical sources. There are also links to pertinent Web sites. Health and Wellness Resource Center covers literature from 1997-present, while Health Reference Center-Academic covers 1980-present. Health and Wellness Resource Center will eventually replace Health Reference Center-Academic. - Primal Pictures

CINAHL Plus with Full Text provides access to English language core journals from 13 allied health disciplines (including physical therapy) and, of course, to virtually all English language nursing journals, publications from the American Nurses’ Association and the National League for Nursing. CINAHL Plus with Full Text is enhanced with Get It! links. - PubMed

Containing literature dating from 1885-present, PsycINFO includes bibliographic citations and abstracts of the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines. It provides access to books, book chapters, journal articles, dissertations, and technical reports in psychology and related disciplines including medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, and other areas. PsycINFO is enhanced with Get It! links.

ProQuest Digital Dissertations provides online access to citations and abstracts for every title in the Dissertation Abstracts database. The database includes citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester.
Those University of Delaware dissertations which have been digitized and published since 1997 are available in PDF digital format and have 24 page previews available. These digitized dissertations (theses are not included) are free to University of Delaware faculty, students, and staff.
