EIU ViewsWire [Economist Intelligence Unit].
LOCATION: Library Databases
A Web-based intelligence service from the Economist Intelligence Unit, offering analysis on key economic, political, and business developments around the world. Each day, it supplies 100-150 analytical articles on any of 195 countries. Provides full-text information from newspapers, the legal literature, and other sources on a variety of topics.
EIU Country Profiles [Economist Intelligence Unit].
LOCATION: Library Databases
Country Profiles provides background and historical context of current economic and political events for each country. Each profile analyzes the infrastructure and major industrial sectors of each economy and includes maps and tables of key economic data for the past 5 years.
EIU Country Reports [Economist Intelligence Unit].
LOCATION: Library Databases
Country Reports analyzes political and economic trends. Each report examines and explains the issues shaping the country: the political science, economic policy, the domestic economy, and foreign trade and payments. The reports include quarterly and annual statistics of at least 150 data points picked from the most reliable sources and reviewed by EIU analysts to provide consistent, objective and impartial coverage.

Provides bibliographic references, abstracts, or full text for articles from more than 2,300 scholarly journals and general interest magazines. It has full text of more than 1,300 titles. Covers the humanities, social sciences, non-technical general sciences and current events. Covers 1980 to present; updated daily.
LexisNexis Academic.

One of the best sources for current information, especially from newspapers or wire services. Most of the citations have full text of the article. Also includes full text articles from selected magazines and journals.

Bibliographic database providing citations and abstracts to articles in periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins relating to archaeology, architecture, art history, city planning, crafts, films, graphic arts, industrial design, interior design, landscape architecture, museology, photography, and related fields.
Art Abstracts/Art Index Retrospective.

Bibliographic database covering in history, including article abstracts and bibliographical citations of reviews and dissertations on the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistoric times to the present.
Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO).
LOCATION: Library Databases
Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO) is a comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs. It includes a wide range of scholarship, such as working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, and proceedings from conferences.
Criminal Justice Abstracts.
LOCATION: Library Databases
Criminal Justice Abstracts provides comprehensive coverage of the major journals in criminology and related disciplines, extensive coverage of books, and access to reports from government and nongovernmental agencies. For each document, an informative summary of the findings, methodology, and conclusions is provided. Topics include crime trends, prevention projects, corrections, juvenile delinquency, police, courts, offenders, victims, and sentencing.
Ethnic NewsWatch.

Ethnic NewsWatch is a comprehensive full-text database of over 200 newspapers, magazines, and journals of the ethnic, minority, and native press. Searchable in both English and Spanish, Ethnic NewsWatch provides a rich collection of articles, editorials, and reviews with a broad diversity of perspectives often at variance with the mainstream media.
Historical Abstracts.

HUD USER Database.

HUD USER Database is the only bibliographic database exclusively dedicated to housing and community development issues. It contains more than 10,000 full-abstract citations to research reports, articles, books, monographs, and data sources in housing policy, building technology, economic development, urban planning, and a host of other relevant fields.

Opposiong Viewpoints Resource Center

Provides a complete one-stop source for information on social issues with access to viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to Web sites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.
PAIS International.

An electronic index (1972 to the present) to books, periodicals, and government documents on issues concerning public affairs.
Population Index.

An annotated bibliography of books, journal articles, working papers, and other material on population topics. The searchable and browsable database containing abstracts of demographic literature published in Population Index in the period 1986-2000.
Proquest Digital Dissertations.
LOCATION: Library Databaes
Online access to citations and abstracts for every title in the Dissertation Abstracts database. The database includes citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as last semester. Some 70,000 dissertations have been digitized and are available in full text. Those University of Delaware dissertations which have been digitized are free to University of Delaware faculty, students, and staff.

Web of Science.

A huge, multidisciplinary database corresponding to Science Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts and Humanities Citation Index, published by the Institute for Scientific Information. Provides access to a wealth of scholarly journal literature from more than 8,000 scholarly journals. Cited references may also be searched. Abstracts are included. Updated weekly.
Women's Studies International.

An interdisciplinary combination of nine important files, containing over 204,000 records drawn from a variety of essential women's studies databases. Included is the Women Studies Abstracts, which indexes women's studies journals from 1984 to the present.

GPO Access contains the full text of some of the most frequenlty used government information sources. Records national and international affairs with continually updated indexes and based on information obtained from the press, broadcasting, and official sources. Complementing the news digest section is a reference section which includes cross-indexed and up-to-date background briefing documents. Political and economic data is presented country by country, topic by topic.

Searches over 50,000 U. S. foundations, corporate givers and grantmaking public charities. It also includes descriptions of more than 200,000 associated grants, and lists over 200,000 trustees, officers, and donors. It also includes links to more than 2,000 web sites. Database records provide the same depth of information as entries published in the Foundation Directory (Ref AS 911 .A2F65), the Foundation Directory Part 2 (Ref AS 911 .A2F651), the Guide to U. S.
